another diaper question - what brand do you use?

we recently moved from size 1 to 2 because DS was pooping out the sides of his diapers.

well we have checked and double-checked how we put his diapers on, and he is STILL pooping out the sides - and up the back!!

we currently use pampers swaddlers new baby (not sensitive).

should we try another brand or are we doing something wrong??

I use Pampers Swaddlers too..but I've never had that problem. Maybe you can buy a small pack of another brand to see if you like them better?

we use both huggies and pampers swaddlers. My DS only poops every 3 days and it's an explosion!pretty much every other diaper is messy because of this . I don' tthink any diaper will be able to contain his explosions.

Maybe huggies would be better for you bc there ismore elastic so it's a bit tighter

I use pampers swaddlers and huggies (which every i have coupons for or on sale). A few times she has pooped out the sides but I dont think it was the size of the diaper I think it was the amount of poop. sorry tmi

I use Luvs now simply because the look the same as pampers to me but are much cheaper. Used swaddlers/cruisers for like 10 months with no issues, the only time I had issues with DS was when he was outgrowing the size or if I didn’t put the diaper on well enough.

I agree with the PP, buy a small pkg from target or something to test drive the diaper...thats what I did before switching.

Maybe try huggies...my SIL has used them with all 3 kids and likes them!

First few months did pampers swaddlers, then went to Pampers baby dry, and now walking we are using Pampers cruisers. At night we use Huggies over nights.

We tried huggies when she was a few months old but those leaked. We also tried 7th generation- worked great during day but leaked at night.

Brady also poops out the side. I thought it was the Pampers so we tried other kinds and it still happens. Not super often but often enough to be totally gross. I think its because he sometimes lays on his side to BF and its leaking out? I'm not sure. If you find something that works for Luca let me know!

Maybe we should both start feeding our kids All American Burgers so their poops will be more solid and leakage wont be an issue:

I use Pampers or Huggies. I tried the Walgreens and CVS brands. CVS brand was AWFUL. Walgreens was slightly better but my son was getting diaper rash with those.

We occasionally have explosive poop issues and it is usually due to improper fit of the diaper. Sometimes my MIL won't pull the back of the diaper up high enough before she latches it and it leaves room for leakage.

We use Pampers Swaddlers but are switching over to Pampers Baby Dry. Sydnie poops out the sides too on occasion. I don't get it.

She is already in size 2-3. How are 2's fitting him? She was in 2s at like 8 weeks old

i also love pampers cruisers (swaddlers for size N-2)

huggies were horrible for us

We use the Pampers Swaddlers in a size 1/2 with no prob. They are a smidge big on Emerson but with the size 1's she did have a "poop out" episode.

We've always used Pampers Swaddlers (baby dry, not sensitive). Now we are in size 3 and instead of baby dry it's cruisers.

Anyway, we had poop out the side and/or up the back for a while until he got into size 3. Thankfully no leakage anymore. And Ryan is down to going once a week! So you can imagine the mess that is.

I have used luvs from day1. They are cheap & we never had a problem.

yikes We use the pampers swaddlers. We were using the pampers baby dry but she was pooping up the back of those. So far so good with the swaddlers.

Someone on here suggested to me that I might not be closing the diaper tight enough, so that might help to prevent it going up the back. As far as out the sides, I am not sure.

We use Eckerd Supremes mostly. We'll use Pampers if they are on a good sale. We use Huggies Overnights.

We moved into Huggies from Pampers swaddlers when DD went to size 2 because she kept leaking poopy diapers

Ever since we moved to Huggies, she hasn't leaked EVER!

I have been using Walmart's Parent's Choice brand since DD was about 6 months old & I think they are very good - no leaks, soft, etc. And, the price is incredible!
