Another Doctor question
Does your Doctor give the sonograms in their office?
Are they present for them?
I have to go to a different place for my sonogram, and my doctor is not present when i go. Is that common?

My doctor has a sonogram machine in her office. I think I've gotten maybe 3 sonos there. All of the "big" sonos- the ultrascreen and the Level 2- are at a different place. My doctor is not present for them- but they give her the results.

my dr's office doesnt do sonos so i had to go to a radiology facility and then they send the report to the doctor. Everytime i went though the technologists always gave me info as they were doing the sono, such as the baby's HB and stuff

I had one sono in my drs office, they have a machine, but its not a good one...
The rest of my MANY sonos were all somewhere else and no my Dr wasnt there.

my doc has a sono in the office. he has done 3 for me so far (13 wks) i was spotting n worried the first time so he checked n saw a yolk sac - then the next appointment was for the heartbeat and the third was a shshshsh secret one b/c i was concerned that i didn't feel preg anymore, but i got to see the baby's buds and body moving around!
maybe that's why i love my doc so - he is soooooo nice to me!

My doctor has a sonogram machine in his office, so he is always present for when I have them. I have had only 2 appts so far (Im 7 weeks) and have had a sonogram each time, plus he said Ill have one again at my next appt in 3 weeks.

Many doctors do not have sonos available in their offices, but I personally won't go to a doc that can't do a sono in his/her office. My level 2s are at the hospital and my doc is not present.

i got my first ultrasound at the office, just a regular 2D. i got my ultrascreen at a different location, in 3D/4D. i will get my level II in the office done by a technician, apparently in 3D but not as good quality as the ultrascreen place... i almost wish they were sending me out to the ultrascreen place for the level II, but it's not their policy
