Another Glucose Test Question, for the BTDT ladies
In all honesty... how awful is the drink?
I'm so worried I'm going to gag or get sick. I never drink anything sweet, EVER as it upsets my stomach. And I'm  at the thought of having to down this drink they gave me.

I didnt think it was awful! I actually liked it. It tasted like orange soda or something similiar.

I've had the orange drink, and the clear drink. To me, they tasted like flat orange soda and flat sprite. They were not overly sweet to where I wanted to chase them with water or anything.

Not bad at all. I had the orange. Tastes like very sweet orange soda. I did feel jittery after though.

I only ever drink water and unsweetened iced tea. I haven't touched soda or anything with sugar in it since before I was a teenager. Other than my 1st trimester cravings for fruit punch which I majorly watered down with water.

I had the orange one, it was ICE cold and tasted like flat orange soda...I LOVE flat soda

I thought it was pretty disgusting. I don't like soda or most juices and I'm not used to drinking really sweet stuff. I wasn't happy about having to drink it twice, but it didn't make me feel nauseous. For me, it was so sweet that it was kind of difficult to drink it all in 5 minutes. You should be fine though. Good luck!

not that bad at all and i personally don't like any other drink other than water...
i hate all beverages and sodas so i thought i was going to have a hard time but it was tolerable.
just hope that they serve it to you chilled... that helps a lot!

I didn't think it was that bad either. I had to do it twice.
I did a 3 hour test with my regular doctor early on after a fainting episode and that drink was better than the one at my OB's. I think it was the same stuff but the one my OB gave me was flat. The one at the regular doctor's just tasted like orange soda.

I go tomorrow morning I will let you know. I've heard we get a choice of flavors and to stick with the fruit punch one. Im glad there is a choice, I LOATHE orange drinks.

I had the fruit punch, I only drink water also, so honestly the first sip was a shock! I actually started coughing. I just chugged the rest and it was fine, I didn't really taste it.

Honestly...it was not so bad. I had "the worst" flavor also-cola. They were out of the lemon lime and the orange at my doctor's office. I was expecting that is was going to be horrible. It just tasted like flat coke. Don't stress it!

yes, it tasted like very flat orange soda. It was ok but yes, after I was done the thought of the taste was gross. But when I was drinking it, it wasn't that bad really.
