Another IUI question - just one or back to back??
My RE said they don't do multiple IUIs in the same cycle. Sometimes after the IUI they will recommend intercourse the following day or something like that. What do you think about that? I'm curious because I've read here that ladies often have "back-to-back" IUIs.

Re: Another IUI question - just one or back to back??
From what I understand some RE's do back to back IUI's and some dont. I've gotten pregnant twice from single IUI's...never did back to back.
Good luck

Re: Another IUI question - just one or back to back??
I just had my first IUI last week and they were back-to-back. I went on Sunday and before the IUI I had a sono. The follicle was still there so they told me to come back Monday for the second. By then the follicle would have definately released.

I had my first IUI last Friday and it was just one. My doctor told me if my husband's post wash was under 5 million they would do back to back.

My dr does back to back, he said once I took the ovidrel shot the egg would release 12-36 hours later, so back to back IUI would cover that time period

Re: Another IUI question - just one or back to back??
i was never able to do back to back because of the timing.. all 3 cycles of mine the 1st IUI was done on a saturday, then the office was closed on a sunday. we ended up BDing the 2nd day. none of them worked for us.

ive only had single iuis and got pregnant a couple of times. From what i understand if ur re thinks the count is low then they do a back to back.

Re: Another IUI question - just one or back to back??
I had only 1 IUI done each of the three cycles. For the 3rd, RE (not my usual Dr) recommended we do back to back but I said no. DH's sperm count drops after BD and he feels the difference after he is 'done'. So for us we felt it would be a waste of time doing back to back IUIs.
