Another m/c question - early m/c
If you don't mind sharing (and if you'd prefer, please feel free to FM) what did it feel like when you had a m/c early on?
I got a BFP on Monday, and all day today have been feeling crampy and achy, just like I do when I'm going to get AF. My doctor's office was closed today (regular day off) and I didn't want to page him over this. I'm going to call in the morning, but just wanted to prepare myself for what I think he's going to tell me.
Thanks. Cathy

I am almost 7 weeks and although I worry sometimes, it is completely normal. I got those cramps right before and after my BFP and still do. I got them last week pretty strong in the middle of the night, they are better now. Don't worry and congrats! It is just streching going on down there. As long as there is no bleeding, no worries!

Thanks. It's just that I didn't have this my last pregnancy. It feels very different, so I can't help but worry. But thank you. I'll try to relax and wait to see what the doctor says.

I saw your name and figured that was your cute daughter, and this is my first pregnancy, so its all new to me, but I have been reassured by other pregnant women and moms that is COMPLETELY normal.

I had cramping right away on and off - and I still have it. I wouldn't worry too much. But for reassurance, call your doctor and set up an appointment. Good luck, I'm sure you will be just fine

Re: Another m/c question - early m/c
I believe I was around 10 weeks when I miscarried....BFP on Nov 11, went to NY to see family a month later--started spotting there, brown so I thought it was normal. Continued to spot when I returned to GA for about a week....then on a Sunday night, late, I started feeling cramps and got scared. Called my best friend who told me to page the dr but I waited till monday morning.... they did a sono where the sac was still measuring around 7 weeks and I was supposed to be 9-10 weeks and there was no fetus. The cramps got worse that afternoon and the bleeding was very heavy for a few days and went back to spotting for 6 weeks since I was miscarrying naturally.
Also, in that interim before the cramping, I had taken a bath and there was some stringy "matter" floating around....I scared myself, but thought nothing of it. That was tissue (sorry...TMI) and I was passing clots when I wiped.
bleeding is normal and so is cramping....it's when either gets severe. My dr told me when the pain from cramps keeps you from talking or walking is when you should worry or if the bleeding is excessive like an AF.

Re: Another m/c question - early m/c
When i m/c'd at about 5 1/2 weeks i didn't feel it coming on at all. But with this pg, i was crampy consistently in the first couple weeks, felt like i was going to get AF at any time. at about 13 weeks now, i still get crampy sometimes. If you aren't bleeding, don't worry I would still call the dr to get some reassurance, my dr saw and heard from me alot

Re: Another m/c question - early m/c
Thanks. I went in today for the bloodtest, I'll get the results in the morning. He told me not to worry, but he looked a little concerned when I told him at first. So we'll just have to see what happens.

Re: Another m/c question - early m/c
Thanks for asking. The bloodtest is positive, I still have a lot of cramping and achiness, but no bleeding yet, so I'm very hopeful. It's still very early, I'm only 4.5 weeks.
