Another nursing/weaning Q
I want to try and go to 2 nursings a day and the res tformula. How do I do that? Right now I'm nursing in the am and randomly in the pm - not sure how to get my supply to regulate to do that - is that possible? Nurse first thing am and then around the 5pm feeding? Please tell me how b/c what I'm doing has no routine to it.

Your body will adjust! When I started nursing DS, I went from 4xs a day, to 3, 2, 1, then none....I went slow (I had no need to hurry him off) and it took me about 7-8 weeks. The first session I 'got rid of' was the mid morning. I replaced it with a bottle of formula, and stayed on that schedule for 7-10 days. It gave my body PLENTY of time to adjust so that I wasn't engorged or uncomfortable (or leaking all over the place!). I just kept doing that until all 4 nursings were replaced! GOOD LUCK!
