Another pampered chef stone question
I have the bar pan, bought it a long time ago and have NEVER used it! Everyone I talk to loves them. SO my question, when I use it for the first few times, do I need to use oil or no stick spray? Then afterwards, I know not to use soap, but just spray & wipe wash with water? Doe sit ever leave the taste of food that you've cooked previously? Sorry for all the questions. TIA!!

Re: Another pampered chef stone question
you can "condition" it the first time you use it by coating it with oil or Pam spray.
After a few uses it will turn colors but it should not retain any taste of anything that your previously cooked

Re: Another pampered chef stone question
You can definitely bake cookies on the pizza stone...just becareful of anything that has "juice" in it....it will spill over as it cooks

Re: Another pampered chef stone question
spray it for the 1st or 2nd time. After you use it you are right NO SOAP. I soak mine in scolding hot water then use the scraper and scrape it off
It doesnt leave a taste from other stuff.
But just so you know the color of the stone will get dark, it looks dirty but it isnt
IT IS AWESOME

Re: Another pampered chef stone question
Just a cleaning tip. You are allowed to use baking soda with the water. And because I skeeve with washing it w/ water only, I use baking soda and it is fine.
The lady at the Pampered Chef party said this was OK>
