Another pumping question
As my supply builds up, will I get more milk in the same amount of time? Or do you have to pump longer to get more?
How long does it take you to get how much?
Sorry for all the questions! TIA!

Re: Another pumping question
No you'll get more milk in the same amount of time. It generally takes a full 10 minutes to empty a breast. It's basically supply & demand. The more you nurse/pump, the more you produce. Also, there are things you can do to increaes your milk supply (fennel tea - add honey to name one).
At my pumping height, I could get 8oz from each breast...but I pumped every 2 hours for awhile. One thing you can try is to nurse one side, pump the other side - and then switch. Your breast will produce whatever is necessary.
Right now your body is adapting to everything so your milk supply may fluctuate.

Re: Another pumping question
I did everything they recommended and the most I ever got was 4 ounces each and that was rare.
Dont get frustrated. Good luck.
