Another question about photo backdrop paper... Photoshoppers...

If I just get white paper, is there a way that I (when I ever get around to reading a book on how to) can change the color in photoshop? I'm not really prepared to commit to multi color rolls in my house!

But if it's a not so simple task, then I may opt for a pale blue instead of white. Chat Icon

yes and no. you can definitely change the background color in photoshop (use the magic want tool, select the background and fill with the color of your choice) but white is hard as it is similar to highlights. you'll end up selecting highlights and anything else similar in the pic. you're better off with a strong color (blue, green, etc.) and then making sure dc has nothing of the color on them when taking the pics.

you also have to take shadows/lighting variations into consideration (there will be none when you change colors on the comp and it may look weird) and be careful with lighting so dc doesn't have green highlights in their hair, etc. you'll end up with a weird halo.

i'd rather just use the color i wanted in the first place.

I think it would take too much effort. You can select the background & alter the hue, add a color overlay & then erase it from the subject/child.

I consider myself pretty decent on photoshop & wouldn't recommend it.

Adding a faint pattern would be even easier than a full out color change

Thanks! Chat Icon Think I may go blue. Ya think a color is better for my Nolan... he's a fair red head. This would be for his 1st Birthday cake smash. DIY

He'll most likely be wearing a white onsie or just a diaper.

I would go with either grey, green (which looks great with red hair) or blue
