Re: another question about pumping - sorry ladies!!

I think it might be possible to pump into with some creative use of the accessories that come with the bags - not easy but not impossible. But storing it will be the problem. They need to close and handle freezing where necessary - I don't think the drop ins can.

I pumped into the medela bottles and stored that way...then you could warm up in those BPA free bottles and then pour into the drop ins.

Yes you can. Playtex actually makes an adapter to use with the Medela pumps. I do this. This is what I use:

I pump directly into the Medela bags. (With a medela pump) No adapter needed. And for me, the less I needed to take to work, the better. Chat Icon

I also pumped into the bottles for refrigeration if I was using them within a few days.

Yup, it screws right onto the pump and the container holds the drop-in.

I am doing the same. If there a way to use the medela bags as drop ins?

Chat Icon Well, I have no idea. Chat Icon I just pour them into the medela bottle when thawed. Never thought about it.

Kelly I do that as well. At work I pump directly into the Medela bottles OR the Playtex drop-ins with the adapter that I mentioned previously. At home I pump either directly into the drop-ins OR I pump into the Medela freezer bags. After trying a variety of bottle DD takes the drop-ins bottle with the latex nipple, so I found that pumping into the drop-ins bottle directly instead of the Medela bottle and then transferring was better for us (although admittedly I don't give her bottles so what difference should it make?).
