Another Question for you moms - re: baby's closet

So DH is doing the nursery today. We painted and were building the closets. We went to Home Depot last night and I want a closet that had shelves in the middle - and then three bars on each side.

So we picked it out - he put it together - it looks great - but - once he put it in the closet I realized the shelves are a little wider than I wanted - making the bars a little shorter than I wanted.

Is this a big deal? It's probably only 2 inches bigger then the shelves I was planning on?

Basically my question is --- don't we need alot of shelves for baby clothes and stuff? Do you mostly hang or fold the things for the little ones?

THANKS!!!!

I really only hang dresses and jackets....you won't have to worry about the dress part. I feel like a Chat Icon has more hanging clothes then a Chat Icon

That said I fold alot of her things

I hang a lot..almost everything, it lets me know what I have with a quick glance.

The clothes are so little, I don't see the point of even folding. I generally just lay the clothes in a drawer. Chat Icon I don't think you'd hang that much for a boy!

I agree! Most of Julia's clothes are folded and put in her drawers too. I only hang her dresses and jackets.

I hang and use drawers. I'm sure it will be fine. I put supplies and such on my shelves.

Well he just finished and I do have six bars to hang - so there is still alot I guess. These shelves are just so damn big. Oh well.

Thanks! I can't wait to fill it up with lots of clothes now! Chat Icon
