Another Random Act of Kindness
Just like Mrswask, we too observed a random "Thank you"...
I was out to eat with my son, Aunt and Uncle when a woman came over to our table and asked my uncle if he was a Veteran.
So he said "yes I am" (we were all kinda puzzled and wondering where this was going)
With that she handed over a little gift box, and said "well I just wanted to Thank you for your time and service to our country"
None of us knew what to say, except of course thank you back, thats so nice of you etc, etc... and she made her way to the next table.
The box had a little tag on it with a thank you and inside was an beautiful Patriotic Star Ornament AND a full page handwritten note from herself again thanking vets and explaining how her dad instilled it in them as kids to salute the flag, and thank a vet now as opposed to later. It was so touching...
So to Carla Fleming who was at Emerald Pointe in Greenwood Lake on Sunday evening.... THANK YOU! you really made a Vets day (actually you made eveyones day!)

That is wonderful!!! I am sitting here crying!!!! I am such a mush. My father was a real patriot and eventhough he was disabled,and didn't fight in a war. he fought on the homefront for the rights of veterans!
