Ok, so I am at the point in my cycle when I am waiting to see something change as I should be ovulating soon...

Today, I saw some lines on the scope, where as I usually only see scattered dots in a random pattern.

Now, I know this can be the very beginnings of the fern like pattern, BUT, I am wondering if this is showing up because of how I applied the saliva. Basically, I want to know if I did it *right*, or am I really in fact potentially getting ready to ovulate.

So, my question is-- does it matter if the saliva was applied in a pattern, if you will, from my finger-- or does the scope sorta disregard that and only show the pattern of the actual saliva? Am I making sense?

I feel like I need to get in the habit of testing, then waiting to see the results and testing again before I drink or brush my teeth. The thing is, is that I am always thirsty and I keep water next to my bed so, when I wake up, I am usually dying for some water.
