another spinoff on OCD cleaning post - nanny/babysitter related
Does your nanny/babysitter clean anything while they are there?
I did not expect my babysitter to do any type of cleaning, but when DS naps she says she is bored so I come home and sometimes the bottles are all washed, my floor is swept, my bookcases dusted, my cupboards organized, my microwave is cleaned, and once she even cleaned my bathroom.
I totally told her she did not have to do any of these things but on days that DS is being an angel and sleeps a lot, I guess she figures she has nothing else to do.
Don't get me wrong, there are days that she does nothing and i come home to toys all over the place, but hey, that was what I expected in the first place!

I wish! Nevre-she only cleans bottles if she needs them. BUT she is very reasonable and takes great care of them so I don't expect it:>

Funny a friend just got laid off so of course in turn had to get rid of her Nanny...
Her husband was most upset because he said who is going to do the laundry, who is gong to keep this place tidy, etc...

Yes, when my nanny started I told her I wanted her to clean while DD naps. She still does and she's been with us for 2 years.

Without my nanny our place would be a disaster. My house is SPOTLESS when I come home everyday (she's w/ us 3 days/week). Never a single toy out of place, speck on the counter, drop in the sink. She does our laundry every week (from sorting the clothes to putting them away in our drawers).
This was NOT something we specifically ASKED her to do, it just evolved over time. FYI, she also comes every other week to "real clean" the house and is paid separately for that (mop floors, clean bathrooms, etc).
