Anxiety and panic attacks
Does anyone suffer from this?? I do and since I had DD it just seems that I cannot handle it anymore. After DD i suffered from PPD for about 6-7 months and now the panic attacks are back......I had one really bad last week and didnt go to work the following day...and then again out of no where last night it started again but I am here at work today...all though I am crying and trying to make it through the day that just started.
If you have them, how do you get through them?? Do you take meds, if so which one?? I have xanex that I take on occasion but I try real hard not to have to take them.
help...bc I feel like I am loosing my mind

Re: Anxiety and panic attacks
I do. I take Fluoxetine (generic Prozac) every day. It helps. 90% of the time I feel like myself- Normal.
Every once in awhile I have short bouts of anxiety...but nothing debilitating.
Good Luck!
Have you tried therapy? I have a great therapist in Melville if you're looking.

Re: Anxiety and panic attacks
I have suffered with both for years. I have been taking Zoloft for about 8 years now and it has always worked pretty well. I would have occasional anxiety on Zoloft but never really attacks anymore.
In January I started having really bad panic attacks again and because of them I haven't been able to drive since January. I am now pregnant so I dont want to mess around with medications but as soon as I give birth I am going to try to see what they can do. I think maybe the Zoloft has just lost its affect on me.

Re: Anxiety and panic attacks
I have anixety and panic attacks also, my doctor put me on lexapro and the occasional xanax, it has been life changing, I do not get full blown anxiety attacks anymore, but I still do on occasion get that panic feeling. Hope you feel better soon

Re: Anxiety and panic attacks
I was on zoloft for about 6 months and got off when I wanted to try and get pregnant. I have such bad anxiety and my doctor wont put me on anything which I dont really wanna go on anything but anything that stops the anxiety attacks I will take LOL
Embarrassing question though...
Anyone on meds for anxiety, did you not wanna have any sex with your DH? I felt like that was one thing I just wasnt into when I was on zoloft and then when I came off I was a different person.

I think that is a huge side effect to some of the meds.
