Anxious about flying on an airplane with 2 children-3 yrs old an 6 months..help!!!!

ok, I am excited to go to Texas next week for Thanksgiving to see my mother and brother and also for my brother to see my children. I hope this will lift his spirits!!!!

Anyway, we have not traveled since Jacob was 2 and now we have a 3 yr old and a 6 month old... Any tips would be appreciated.

We all have our own seat and we are flying Jet Blue, Jacob will be using Flysafe but chloe is still in her infant carseat. Can we have it rear facing and do we need the base on board with us also??

We have rented an SUV once we get to Houston and also a carseat for JAcob. My question is- should my DH go and get the rent a car with out us and then come back to get us at baggage or should we all go with him...
Also, how do I lug around all of our luggage plus the strollers and such??

I am starting to get stressed and I don't want to be I have enough going on in mylife to worry about these small things.

Please--- any tips will surely be appreciated....

I've flown with a rear facing infant seat many times - no problem. I've never brought the base. Just ask a flight attendant for a seat belt extender.

You can gate check your strollers.

I only have one DC, but my advise is to take your time. People will be very nice and helpful, they always have been with us.

I'd gate check your stroller and make your carryon a backpack so that you can just put it on your back.

You'll be fine! Don't stress about the small stuff

ETA: I think the car rental depends on where everything is. If it is very close to baggage, I'd just go with him, if it is far have him go get the car and bring it back!
