flying with 14 month old
what would you bring to occupy your 14 month old on a plane?
also, the weather should be high 60's low 70's in Florida. Is that capri's or pants? Don't know what to pack for this trip!

That's pants to me. 60's is cool.
DS was 15 months old the last time we flew to Florida and we had a DVD player for him and he didn't make a peep.

Re: flying with 14 month old
We flew with DD at 14 months. It wasn't too bad. I took the window seat and she loved looking out the window. It was a little tougher than the previous flights we took because she was mobile and wanted to walk. Ours was a 2 hours flight. I changed her diaper before we boarded and luckily enough I didn't have to change it again until we got off. I brought lots of snacks and a few quiet toys. I would recommend the DVD. We didn't have it, but we will try next time.

Re: flying with 14 month old
I brought some new board books, DVD with some different DVDs, I got two 99 cent puppets at target she loved to play with, and plenty of snacks, and milk and water. Try to bring all new things that they haven't seen before so that will keep them occupied longer.

The best thing that occupied my DD was giving her the Skymall mags and letting her rip them to shreds. I got the idea from someone on here and it totally worked!

We're going the same week and we're bringing both shorts, capris and pants for Kaydyn. We're staying in Disney timeshare so we have a washer and dryer, but I would rather be covered as far as all weather options. My sister went down 2 years ago and it was in 80s and DH and I went down 1st week in dec and it was barely 60s during the day and in the high 30s at night.
As for the plane I would bring stickers, books, snacks, & maybe one or 2 new small toys that will keep her interested.

Re: flying with 14 month old
We went to Spain with DD -- I brought one book and one toy. That was enough, plus the magazines in the seatsbacks.
You don't want to bog yourself down.

Snacks (You absolutely DO NOT want to run out on the plane! ) Stickers crayons (this is a good time to introduce then if you haven't already - she won't be coloring all over your house! ) play phones cars dolls/puppets mini-doodle thing (I forget the real name but it is a screen that you "write" on with the attached "pen" - maybe it is magna doodle?) new toys We also always travel with these driving toys. When we take off, DS feels like he is driving the plane!
