Any advice about what to do about night terrors?
DD is having them. She cries and screams until she wakes up and then she is up for hours in the middle of the night. Between her, the baby and getting up for work, I'm getting an average of 3-4 hours of sleep and I'm shot. I need some help on what to do.

My dd had them but more sleep walking, she even got up once to walk out the front door asleep. I spoke with my ped who didn't have much to offer. It was probably an old wives tale, but we don't let her have any ice cream or heavy cream stuff before bed.

Re: Any advice about what to do about night terrors?
DD has them now. I think the best we can do is keep them safe during the terror.
I am also trying to track DD's sleep and it seems that I need to put her in earlier, keep things quieter and strangely enough, she needs to have about 30 minutes of undivided Daddy time. It seems that when she doesn't see her Daddy alone for more than a few minutes she wakes up in a terror (well, not really wakes up, but you know what I mean)
Try an earlier bedtime. Also try turning off the TV earlier in the evening. Sometimes we have it on and I think it may wind her up.
Good luck!!

Re: Any advice about what to do about night terrors?
ooooh man! Joseph is now 2 we started them around 7 months. We STILL have them but not as frequent. i was like EVERNITE for almost a year.
I would go in and sit with him to make sure he never hurt himself. I would sometimes hold him. (NEVER TRY TO WAKE THEM) its the worse thing to do.
if i make him wind down from the day earlier, sit on the couch, read a story or watch a quick show. give me a rub down with lotion. (heloves his massages ) he seems better on those nites especially the lotion nites. its seems to relax him.
good luck.. its soo hard to watch i know!!
