Any advice on growing out your eyebrows?

I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's (Thyroid Disorder) a couple of months ago...

One of the symptoms was that my eyebrows kept falling out. Not all of them just parts of them. They are thinnish to begin with so if I'd loose to many hairs in one spot I'd have to tweeze them to get them to look right...

Now that they arent falling out any more Im attempting to grow them back...

Any tips on growing in your eyebrows aside from hiding them behind your bangs?

TIA

bare escentuals has a little tiny jar of eyebrow powder that you use with a little brush and can fill in the patches. go to the store and let someone help you pick out just the right color

I completely agree about going to a makeup counter...go to a department store counter and discuss your situation...I'm sure they will demonstrate their product on your eyebrows...good luck with it!!

OK, I have a very scary before pic... and I am not nuts about the after - I hate my pic being taken so on the before I only let her zoom into my eyebrow area... LOL. I really should have taken the pics in the same lighting - the before is without the flash and the after is with the flash.

After... I am SOOO happy with how they came out!!!

Re: Any advice on growing out your eyebrows?

and to answer your question, heather - when i am growing out my brows (i am actually doing this now) i don't use a tweezer except for the very middle between my brows. for the sparse areas, i use a very thin brow pencil. the only one i have found that actually looks natural is this one:

maybelline define-a-brow

Chat Icon NONE TAKEN!! I am really amazed at how natural they came out myself!!

IF mine would grown on their own I wouldn't have done it - but it's been about 10 years and they only grow where I DON'T want them Chat Icon
