Re: any advise for a first-time seller??
I'll try to answer the best I can.
I bought a new bathmat for the bathroom (but I think I might put it away and use the old one for everyday use)
We have area rugs in almost every room and we have left them. I didn't think it was a bad thing - pulls the room together.
I took a lot of expensive things to my mom's already...also spare sets of keys. Laptops and cameras we hide away when people come.
toys were a big issue for us. we packed up a majority of toys and moved into storage. We have 4 small bins for their trains, blocks and cars (2 boys). Those bins fit into our TV stand.
I have a big wicker basket that I fill with their books and that goes on the bottom shelf of our bookshelf...they can mess it up and I just toss the books back in there.
For slightly bigger toys (most were packed away), we have a window seat where we can put a lot.
I use their closests as well.
I feel bad, I have taken so much away, but they have so much to begin with and when we unpack all of those toys they are going to be ecstatic - brand new toys!
