Any arlines or US Airways - upgrading to first class?
I'm flying out to Las Vegas on Thursday and wanted to see if anyone has ever upgraded to first class at the airport before...
if so, how much was it additionally and who/how did you approach it?

I did that once on American or Delta - sorry I can't remember which airline. But there was a sign at the gate saying that first class seats were available for upgrade for tickets with a certain code - it was $80 per person.

on us airways if there are seats available - they are available to purchase by checking in online (i believe) or at the machines (this i have done) - just swipe your credit card when checking in

Virgin America charges $250 at the airport to upgrade to first class

When I check in at the self-check in kiosk it asks if I want to upgrade. That's with every airline I've flown... never done it though.
