any c section mommies with kids very close

in age? my doc said we should wait one year before trying again, but we are thinking of TTC a bit sooner than that, Any thoughts?

my cousin waited about 6 months before getting pregnant again and her uterus almost ruptured. My kids are 30 and 25 months apart and I didn't have any issues.

A friend of mine got pregnant 5 months after the birth of her daughter. Her dr. told her it wasn't the best situation because her body hadn't really healed. She wound up with another C and her dr. firmly told her NO more for at least 18 months.

I never discussed it with my OB since we were originally planning on waiting 2 years so I never thought it would be a problem. But, now that Ryan is approaching a year I am getting "the itch". I guess I'll call the OB and make an appointment.

DH's cousin is due to have #2 in APril, and she will be having 2 under 1. Her first was a c-section, and so far no complications for her.

My BFF got pg with DC #2 when DC #1 was 9 mos - she had C-sections for both and had no problems. THAT SAID, her ob did originally tell her to wait one year!

My doc said 9months - 1 year. We will probably start trying at 9-10 months

My first was a c/s. My doc said he would like to see 18 months between births. So to wait at least 9 months or more. Mine are two years apart, exactly, but my second was a v-birth.

My cousin just went through this --- 3 years in a row.

Baby #1 July 06
told to wait 3 months, got pregnant on 1st try (at 3 mos PP)

Baby #2 July 07
told to wait 6 months, got pregnant on 2nd try (at 7 mos PP)

Baby # 3 Oct 08
told to wait 9 months (we will see what July 09 brings!)

i got pregnant 7 months pp.....I had no problems.

But, my Dr. said it was good I didn't have a VBAC- he said my uterus was thin at the incision area?

But, all is okay to have #3 one day...obviously, that would have to be a c-section too.

Mine told me 9 mths but honestly I am so scared of a rupture even with that advice I am waiting one year. I would want DD to be a bit older anyway so I like the thought of trying when she is one year old anyway.

My doctor also recommended waiting a year. We will probably start trying again once DD turns 1.

My Doctor suggest waiting a year as well. If I wanted to v-bac they suggested waiting 12-18 mo. She said why take a chance, it is important for your body to heal. I started trying as soon as my dd turned 1. My dd & ds are 21 months apart. I personally love the spacing between them & was glad I waited.

At the time of my 6w PP visit, my Dr. told me 18 mos. We got PG at right about the 1 yr mark. When I went for m frist pre-natal visit, she did an exam and sono and determined that I had healed well enough to not be at risk. I think it definitely depends on how quickly thoroughly you heal, which varies, of course. I saw my Dr. about 3 mos before we TTC with #2, and at that point she mentioned that I was healing very well.

I also know people who took almost 2 years to heal before getting the green light to TTC, so I would definitely talk to your Dr.

both my dc were csection babies. I was never told of any waiting period. I was pregnant with baby #2 when baby #1 was only 11 months old.
