Any EBF moms go dairy AND gluten-free for DCs?
I'm looking for recipes/ideas for gluten free and dairy-free snacks and quick meals.
I'm 12 days PP and cut out dairy for DS#3 and noticed an improvement but he still had gas and seemed uncomfortable. I cut out the gluten a few days ago and I'm noticing another difference but I'm selfishly frustrated that I can't eat anything but rice, quinoa, fruits/veggies, and protein. (I know it's selfish but I want ice cream and lots of other bad foods )
Any suggested ideas for quick snacks, freezer meals?
TIA.

Check out gluetenfreegoddess.com. It is a blog with all gluten free recipes and their is a vegan/vegetarian section.
My MIL was just diagnosed with Celiacs so I have been helping her. The dairy part I had down since I also had to cut it out when I was EBF.

Re: Any EBF moms go dairy AND gluten-free for DCs?
I went gluten free 2 weeks ago to try and help with postpartum headaches. It's not too bad once you get used to it, there actually is a lot to eat. Some of my favorite snacks are hummus with corn chips or rice crackers, apples with natural peanut butter, fruit or fruit smoothies. There are also GF cereals like Chex and a few others, you can have them with Almond milk. I actually like the almond milk better then regular milk with cereal! Love quinoa mixed with avocado, tomatos, pinto beans, corn and a little olive oil and lime juice. For dinner recipes I've been able to substitute corn starch for flour and that's been working great. It's just a matter of changing your thinking, that's the hardest part. Of course it hasn't helped me at all so I'm ready to quit, but hopefully it helps your DS!
