Hi all...

Quick question that I hope someone will be able to help with...

I have my BS in child study and masters in literacy, had my provisional certification, and it has now expired. I was contemplating leaving teaching for a while, so I never completed all necessary testing. I would like to get back into teaching, but I don't know how to obtain my permanent certification now. I tried contacting NYS website, with no answers, and also OLAS, but they can't help either.

I know since I've graduated ('03) with my masters, that the requirements have changed. Any help at all would be great! Thanks for reading!

I would suggest contacting the Regional Certification office number at your local Boces. They were very helpful when I was applying for permanent certification. One suggestion though, call early in the day; it is easier to get through to them.
