Any Huntington Hospital Moms?

I will be delivering at Huntington Hospital ... I am due July 4th. My OB gave me a paper will all their classes on it... but they only went through the end of 2008. Anyone have or know where I could get an updated schedule? Website?

I am interested in things like the tour of the wing, breastfeeding class, infant care, etc.

I'm delivering at Huntington too. Here is the hospital maternity website.
I think it says to call the nursery to register for classes.

I delivered at Huntington last pregnancy and will again this pregnancy. I have the schedule but it only runs until January 31, 2009. That's really not much help to you. I would call the phone # that they recommend you call for registration and ask if there is an updated schedule out yet.
We took the 2 classes you mentioned + the childbirth class. We thought they were pretty informative. We also had a tour of the maternity ward. The delivery rooms are really nice and seem like a den. All of the medical equipment is kind of hidden until they need it. Pretty cool.

BTDT Huntington mom. Huntington has 5 classes - 4 child care, one breatfeeding, and then the tour. Tour is done every Saturday at 1:00. You need an appointment. Call the number on the link in PP.

The first class is not necessary (a film about conception - which is interesting, but not necessary), but the others all offer something helpful.

i delievered twice at huntington, and never made it to any classes, nor did i get a tour of the place before i went into labor the first time.

however ,that being said, my 1st was sick at birth and they took wonderful care of him until they transferred him to a NICU. the doctors and nurses in the nursery were really caring, and dr. orner even would call to the other hospitals we ended up at to check up on my son weeks after he was out of huntington.

5 years later, she was on rotation at another hospital, but one of the other doctors was there, remembered my son, and also took good care of my daughter. we didn't know if she would have the same problems at my son, and we had protocols for the nursery to follow with her that came from yet another hospital. (and lets face it alot of doctor's are arrogant and don't want to do what someone else says) but the docs and nurses there never questioned it, and followed all the requirements we had for her. thankfully she was fine and came home in the normal 4 days post c-section.

i have nothing but good things to say about the place.
