any interfaith couples out there?
Hi!
My DH and I want to do something to celebrate the birth of our baby in November, but we are of different faiths... We would love to find someone/thing that takes into account both religious backgrounds... anyone do anything like this or knows of anyone who has done something like this? Any help would be appreciated!.. THANKS! I will also repost on Parenting! :)

Re: any interfaith couples out there?
I've been looking into this as well. We may just have a baby welcoming party at home, and just have my dad give a little blessing or something (he's a minister). I def did not want something in a church or synagogue. But I am open to more ideas too.

What are the two faiths??? My husband and I are roman catholic and jewish. WE have an interfaith religious ceremony for our baby with a priest and a rabbi.

why not just have a celebration? Is it a boy or a girl?
If a girl, you can just have a baby girl celebration.

Re: any interfaith couples out there?
Dh was raised Jewish and I was raised Catholic. Neither of us are practicing. He has not given any ideas on what to do so we will be doing a baby blessing in the home. It will be a fight with my mom but I don't care. I do not consider myself Catholic and I don't follow the religion. So I may be a different case altogether. But when we got married I asked if the officient does baby blessings and she does. I would like her to come and bless the baby for us.
