Any ladies that take/took Metformin?

So glad my OB actually found an issue so that it can hopefully be fixed.
I am scared, however, about taking the medication.
Tell it to me straight- any side effects? What should I experience?

i had to take it 3x a day and slowly upped the dosage weekly 3x. it took my stomach a few weeks to get used to after that i was fine and had zero side efffects. GL!

I am on a 1500mg dose every night and I'm not going to lie the gastrointestinal issues are pretty bad.
I have noticed that it isnt so bad if I eat good.
I take it at night before bed to try and lessen the symptoms.
Other then the stomach issues I haven't really noticed anything else.
