I just came back from our cruise to the Bahamas, it was beautiful!!! But I would bring a sweater for the evenings, it got very chilly at night on our cruise. Have a great time!!!

Re: Any last minute advice before our cruise?
We went on a cruise last month and I have the same advice as the pp... bring a few long sleeve shirts for the evenings. Some nights when we went for drinks or to the casino I was freezing b/c they keep the air low. It's also pretty much always windy at night when you're at sea so if you want to go out on deck at night it will be chilly.
Have fun!!!!!!!!!! (i'm jealous)

Bring a little change purse or wallet that you don't mind getting wet. You'll need a place to store the "sail and sign" card and keep some singles around for tips too.

Bring a bottle of your favorite liquor to make drinks in your room before you go out at night. (I know it isn't allowed - just pack it in your suitcase ) The drink bills tend to get a little high after a week!

ITA....Wrap it in a Washcloth then put it in a Zip lock bag or two and then try and put the bottle in a shoe...one last step and the most important step.....put it in your Husbands suitcase

we always brought our own booze on as well. one vodka, one gin...I just put them in seltzer bottles and walked right on the ship.
hand sanitizer
if you plan on wearing a hat, bobbie pins to keep it in place...mine was always flying off.

ITA!!! DH and I have both brought liquor on the ship in our hands. Rum in an Arizona ice tea bottle and Vodka in a water bottle!
ENJOY!!!

Re: Any last minute advice before our cruise?
All good advice.
I also brought a water bottle/sports bottle so I could fill it up w/ the free iced tea/lemonade to bring out by the pool.
If you have a lot of things to plug in, bring an adapter (there's usually only 1-2 plugs)
Be sure to pack a small beach bag to bring w/ you off the ship
Take advantage of the room service...we ordered fruit/coffee every am in our room & had it in our balcony (when the other was getting ready/showered, etc.)
If you don't like your dinner mates, speak to the maitre d' the first night & he'd gladly move you...but don't wait longer than that.
If you plan on spending time around the pool, get there early leave a towel or hat etc on the seat (then go to breakfast & come out to your chair).
Read the notices every day, they keep you informed of all the activities. We brought a highlighter & would underline the things we were interested in, etc.
We gave our room steward $20 the first time we saw him & he'd do anything for us the rest of the time (we of course tipped him at the end also--whatever the standard is).
All I could think of for now. Have a wonderful time!
