Any mommies go back and look on LIW at your old posts?
For some reason I just went back to LIW to look at my profile and i did a search of my old posts.
I got married in Oct 2004 and it was great reading and taking a stroll down memory lane.
And there's so many ladies on there that are here now and it's really was nice to read what we all went through 3 years ago and how far we've come from the stress of planning a wedding. to becoming mommies to one, two or three babies.
Anyone else every take a stroll down memory lane?
I really ♥ the support of all the LIF mommies!!!

I'm actually back on LIW b/c I'm planning a surprise renewal for my DH later this year.
I will admit I feel "old" when I go over there
I guess the drama of planning a wedding is nothing compared to having 2 kids, a husband who is the 3rd child and an 85 pound dog

Oh I def do feel old too. It's kinda funny though the things you stressed over back then though when you read back.
I was reading some posts and did you know they use invisible pens now to number the back of RSVP cards? At first i was like HUH? I guess it's considered tacky now to have a tiny number your guest can see on the back/inside of the rsvp

I haven't gone back there is soooo long. I do remember about stressing over such trivial things though. It is funny, sometimes I still think about what I would have done differently for my wedding. I guess eventually I'll stop thinking about it. I, too, did not have that many posts over there (I don't even remember how many  ) I was married in 10/05. I never made to any GTGs, but still remember the 05 brides I felt like I had stuff in common with and am happy to see them over here on parenting.

Yes, I did that recently. I don't think anyone would know me from there--I had less than 500 posts for sure. I was pregnant with my 1st when LIF started...ahhhh, those were the good old days!

I have been married 10 years (next week) and I didn't even OWN a computer when I was planning my wedding!
I would have LOVED to have had that board.
Instead...I relied on good old fashioned Bridal magazines.

I don't go back to look at my old posts...actually I'm quite disappointed in WHO I was back on LIW (argumentative, petty, etc.). Plus most of my existence on that board was surrounded by drama at home or on there. Even though "marriage talk" has been occurring, I'm not as on board with LIW as I ever was back then. If/when things get serious with that idea, I will use it as a resource. I can't see myself posting on the newlywed board, etc. because that time in my life has passed. I'll never be a "newlywed" again

I will be married 9 years this October. I also relied heavily on magazines and bridal shows.
I Was a member of LIW. I stumbled on it, by complete accident after my brother got engaged and they (my brother and SIL) were asking questions.
I posted A lot on the NWR board.
At first I felt funny being there, but, I'm glad I stuck with it.
I was so happy when LIF was born..
I do go back sometimes and search old posts. It feels like just yesterday.

I go back and look sometimes. It surprises me to see the things I worried about. I was so naive. I cared so much about stuff.
I guess having a baby prioritzed my life. I don't complain about the petty things. I don't have time!

Yep, I was slwh2005. I think we even fm'd. My bro went to USMMA, so I think we fm'd about Kings Point, etc. My niece's christening & 1st Communion was there and my brother & SIL got married in the chapel there. That entire place is GORGEOUS!! See, I remember you, chickie!!
ETA: DH says I have a"steel trap mind" (I tend to remember weird details) but since Lily & my mommy brain, I forget the simple stuff, like putting away the rotisserie chicken I bought yesterday.
