Any mommies to be who are still BFing?
I plan on continuing to Breastfeed DS until he is one, which will be in June. I will be around 5 months by then. Has anyone else continued to breastfeed while PG?

Glad I read this b/c I was under the impression that you should not BF when PG. This is my first, so I never heard that from a doctor. Just from people at work. They are not authorities obviously.

I breastfed during this pregnancy, I stopped around 24 weeks. The only issue we had was my milk changed in taste, so DS self weaned because of it.

my LC said that it would not be a problem as long as you have never experienced any pre-term contractions with any of your babys or a premature labor.

Sorry to hijack
You can continue to BF through PG and beyond- Here is a link about BFing during PG. However, some women experience nipple tenderness and/or reduced supply and choose to discontinue BFing once they are PG.
There are also women that choose to continue BFing their 1st DC after the second is born. It is called tandem nursing.
