Any NYC 6th grade ELA and SS teachers
I teach Math and Science in 6th grade but thinking of asking my principal to switch me with the current ELA/SS teacher. Te other teacher is all for the switch. The pros are that its something new and not the same ole stuff I have been teaching for 5 years.Howerver the con is from what I heard there is no set cirriculum and you are relly on your own. Thoughts

i would go for it. nyc has a scope and sequence for each content area, and you can link the two by doing historical fiction and thematic units! that would be my ideal job and my ideal age group.

there is definitely NYS curriculum for SS in 6th gradeNYS SS Curr
grade 5 starts on page 12 and grade 6 starts on 14...I'm sure there is a similar one for ELA
