any one else a plain jane whenit comes to clothes and shoes?
I wear basic jean and tops. I have v neck teees , v necklong sleeve tees. soem sweaters. i dont know how to spice it up. HELP

This totally used to be me when I was in college--I would only buy things that seemed "practical" or like they would go with everything and I would get a lot of use out of them---this gave me basically the most boring wardrobe ever b/c it all went together and it was all boring neutrals! I basically started allowing myself to buy some more distinctive pieces, my pants and things are still pretty basic in the winter but I have more fun tops and shoes. In the summer, moreso fun dresses and skirts, and more basic tops. I think the key for me is working in more fun and interesting pieces with all the basics I have and just having one distinctive piece in each outfit  HTH!

Me, me, me.
I am totally comfortable with it though. I don't have to spend a fortune updating my wardrobe with trendy things. I like fitted tees with blazers (velvet, corduroy, twill) in the winter, it hides all my trouble spots and it's not as mainstream as a cardigan.

I really can't either, but I have to say that Marshall's and TJ Maxx have really upped their game lately (at least in NJ where I live)--they have lots of cute tops for much less expensive prices, even BCBG, etc. You still have to look, but you can definitely find bargains!

Accessories and layering go a long way! You can go to Forever 21 and get accessories for less than 10 dollars!

i'm very plain...I don't like a lot of crazy patterns or colors going on. Simple jeans, and a nice sweater with some cute shoes is it for me.

I'm pretty plain. I get nice accessories, but don't wear them.  Like this morning, I put on this great gold belt over my shirt, it looked fabulous! But, I always feel like I can't pull it off and ended up taking it off.

That would be me especially where I work. The dress is casual which means I wear jeans everyday. I wear either sneakers or flip flops. I hate spending money on clothes too, I'm way to cheap. I buy a lot of stuff at Target and Bob's.

I have always thought that is easy to look good when you can afford to go to saks or nordstrom and spend $$$$ on clothes
the true style gift comes on looking good for less!
target, forever 21 even old navy all have cute and trendy stuff for cheap

I am pretty plain too & have been trying on new things bc I do want to spice it up. I feel like I am too plain! But like other posters said, I will not go spend the $$ since I don't have it. We are hitting up the outlets this weekend, so I am going to look for some fun stuff

Me. I am most comfy in yoga pants or jeans with a long sleeve, v-neck tee. It's like my staple wardrobe! I feel more at ease when I am comfortable.

layering and inexpensive jewerly go a long way
so do interesting shoes
you don't have to go crazy with spending
