Good for you! I am due late May so I don't think I'll start running again until the end of July and even so, I'll probably start back from the beginning, so noooo, no races on my mind. Chat Icon

You can do it!
I had the twins July 29.
Started back up with running September 20-something
First race was Thanksgiving turkey trot 5. Twins were not even 4 months old.
It was my slowest time ever (up until that point, I actually ran slower this January in the winter run series), but I still made it at about 28:30.

You totally can. I ran a half marathon 6 months pp, and that was after 2 c-sections that were within 15 months of each other!! Just start back slow - you will have plenty of time to get ready for Cow Harbor.

I totally know what you mean. I stopped running in August. My heart rate gets too high for what's recommended during pregnancy. I miss it so much. I wanted to run my first marathon and I got pregnant so it never happened. I really want to train after I give birth and sign up! It's been something that's been on my mind.

I'm right there with you!!!!

I'm going crazy at the thought of not having an October marathon! I actually wondered not too long ago if I could run the Marine Corps Marathon at 8 weeks pp. hubby thinks I'm nuts!

I ran Cow Harbor after my first two kids (~12 weeks pp). This time I'll be 4 weeks, so I don't think I can, but I'll volunteer since I'm part of NRC.

I'll be doing a lot of volunteering, I think to keep me content.

I was running at 5 weeks post-c/s last pregnancy (the first I had some complications, so got back ~10 weeks) and I hope to do the same this time.

I am thinking about winter marathons though for December - maybe even the Goofy in January (half-marathon on Sat and full marathon on Sun!)
