It's a tough one isnt it?

My daughter isnt emotionally ready to have an unsupervised relationship with a boy. I dont know what I would do at this point.

High School is really such a different place. It scares me every day. I know that she wants one pretty bad. It's actually very sad b/c it's something that she would never really tell me...or something that she would never really say out loud. She's 14 of course she wants a boyfriend....

Just talk to her...see what she means when she says she has a boyfriend. See if it's anything you need to be concerned about. Ask her maybe to see a pic? Find out who he is...etc...etc...

My daughter has never really had friends before this year. So I know she is definitely not ready to have a real relationship with someone. But in my daughters case someone she would be eating lunch with might be her "boyfriend" in her mind..KWIM?

FM me and we'll talk this thing through.

My stepdaughter is 17 and has her 1st real BF. they go out together but they are old enough to do that.

We make sure we spend a lot of time with them together.

Honestly, at 14 they should spend most of their time supervised, and go out in a group to the movies on a weekend night.

I'm avialable for questions. I'm well versed in teenager (unfortunately Chat Icon )
