Re: any recs for daycare in queens?
its a little far from you but DS went to marcus avenue day care. Its in Lake success, border of queens and nassau. Its a day care, but also a regular school. They hire teachers for all their classes, as opposed to day care workers like many places, so the pay is probably better.

DD will be going to Tutor Time in Bayside in March. Also, I think they're hiring (another friend told me). It's off of Springfield Ave. on the 2nd fl.

Re: any recs for daycare in queens?
How old is your baby? Do you know if they have another space available in their infant room? My daughter is eight months old. I tried to call today, but got an answering machine. Maybe they are closed for Presidents Day....

Re: any recs for daycare in queens?
Do they have a website (for Marcus Avenue daycare), or can you give me a contact number or address? I tried to google it, but couldn't find anything.
Thank you!

Re: any recs for daycare in queens?
I used to work at the Tutor Time in Bayside, from August of 2001-June of 2005. They have an amazing program. I worked in the twaddler (2 yr olds) room for the first two years, and the three year old room for the last two years. I know that when I was leaving to get married, they were in the process of constructing a new, larger, infant room. I believe they now have a capacity for 16 babies between 6 weeks and 12 months. Someone please correct me if I am not correct. They had many wonderful teachers on staff, they were very warm & caring. As a matter of fact, even though we live in Port Washington, TT is where I would send my DD if I had to go back to work. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask!

Re: any recs for daycare in queens?
I am so thrilled to hear such great things re: Tutor Time in Bayside, DS will begin there in July. To answer someone's question, the infant room does now have the capacity for 16 infants, 6 weeks-10 mos with 4 teachers.
