any suggestions for what to send my neighbor as they are sitting shiva?
Her DH suddenly passed away. I would like to send her something. Fruit platter from edible arrangements, cookie platter from Zan's. Any suggestion would be great. TIA

Make sure you know the level of conservatism - if they are kosher, you'll have to give them something kosher. I usually give a deli platter, or a basket of bagels with lox, salmon, tomatoes and onion.

FYI, not sure where you live but several of the Edible Arrangements stores on L.I. are kosher certified, if that's an issue.

I have gone to candy/specialty type stores and bought mixed platters of dried fruit, nuts, candy. Lasts for weeks.
