any suggestions of places to buy a desk?
looking for something unique and all wood (not PB, C&B, or RH). really like this one from EA but don't want to wait 8-10 weeks.

yes. i like their accessories but not too impressed w/ their furniture pieces. think i am going to have to hit antique stores.

Have you looked at Horchow? They have nice ones at times.

I think that's your best bet. There are quite a few in Huntington and there is that huge one that re-opened on Fort Salonga/Main St ENPT.

Horchow's furniture isn't the best quality. I have a small side table from them and although I think it's beautiful, the quality just isn't there.

I'm with Colleen. If you want something quickly, then the antique stores are the place to go.

UGH. i am giving myself a 2-3 week time frame. LOL!!!! going hit some antique stores. i think that is the route based on my wants/needs. it is a shame that furniture is not made the way it used to be. a lot of it these days are constructed of venners and particle boards joined together w/ glue.

what style are you looking for? i really like this desk and especially love the fact that you can choose the stain and and knobs. but again, the wait time is too long for me. if i really can't find something i might just have to order this piece and be patient.
