Re: any toddler book recs?
It's a little unconventional--not your run-of-the-mill read aloud story, but you may want to check out a book called "It Looked Like Spilled Milk". When I taught Kindergarten, this was one of their favorite read-alouds, but it could easily work for younger kids.
My DD already loves this one (lots of color contrast in the pictures)!

Re: any toddler book recs?
Mo Willems and Eric Carle were big favorites when they were smaller.
They still like Mo and Noah is still a fan of Eric Carle.. but more for his artistry.
They also LOOOVED when I read them "Where The Wild Things Are". "What a Wonderful World" and "Stella Luna" because the pictures were so eye catching. Speaking of pictures.. "Tuesday" is awesome. There are really no WORDS.. but the pictures are amazing and I would hum music to go along with it which they thought was fantastic.. it is still one that they pull off the shelf.
