any way of stopping your child from scratching their face?

i hate to have gloves on him all the time, and when i take them off he always manages to scratch his face...I'm worried that he'll scratch his eye!

I try to keep his nails short but they can still be very sharpChat Icon

File them after trimming to minimize how sharp they are. Another good reason to swaddle.

Maybe you aren't cutting them short enough? Chat Icon I cut DDs and then sometimes even the little edges, that's probably what he's scratching his face with. Chat Icon

Use a nail file to get the sharp edges.

i havent cut his nails yet...my dr said not to, to just file them still

Maybe if you tell the pediatrician that filing just isn't working for you? If you're careful, it should be fine! I do it when she's sleeping and it makes a HUGE difference, she would never let me awake Chat Icon
