Hi - Thanks for asking. I’m doing Ok. Completed 3 chemo treatments so far - and having an excellent response. Can’t feel the tumor anymore! All this feeling awful and looking horrible is working.

My hair is completely gone, I can’t eat half the time because I’m so nauseous and I feel like I will asleep at any given moment - but I’m feeling positive since it seems to be working.

Hope Brooke is doing well. Thank you to all of you for the support, prayers and good thoughts. They are helping!

Thanks all for the check in. I'm doing ok. Finished 4th round -- which means next time I start a new drug. after my 3rd round of chemo I ended up in the hospital for New Years Day -- my kids were sick and it manifested itsel as an ugly bug in my GI tract -- I was dehydrated (couldnt open my eyes). Took a while to rebound from that, but everyone believes it was a bug and not the chemo. I believe things are going well. I think things are shrinking -- I hope as much as the drs would like(they havent fully inidcated) but they seem to be happy enough with progress I think. Except for the virus, I've been handling chemo pretty well. I'm tired, but no real nausea etc. The hardest thing for me is trying to stay positive when I read stories of people in remission or it comes back etc. I'm trying to just stay off the internet but cancer stories seem to abound when I'm not even looking (even in Newsday today!) -- so i tend to get a bit down as I'm hoping for 40 more years of a good life, not 5 or even 10. It's hard. Anyway, thank you all for the well wishes. 4 more chemo treatments I believe (2 more months), and then on to surgery etc.

Just saw this post and wanted to wish both of you ladies the strength to get through this.

My sister was diagnosed with ovarian cancer early last year. She did 3 months of weekly chemo, surgery then another 3 months of chemo and has been cancer free since October.

Stay positive, even though it's harder then I can imagine.

You will both be in my prayers!

Thanks all! Still moving forward. I have 2 more chemo treatments (every other week) and then on to figuring out surgery quickly (there's so many recommendations and whne I think I've made my decision I get another name or thought....). I had an allergic reaction to the chemo this past friday (it was my 2nd round of a new drug. Unusual but no unheard of to have an allergic reaction not on the 1st but on the 2nd)--- luckily it didnt get too bad but I was surrounded by about 5 nurses for a bit ...including one with an oxygen tank etc. Looks like surgery is usually within a month after treatment finishes, so it'll be sometime late March or April I'm guessing. I pray each day that this will work and that I will be cancer free for a long time to come. I would never want this for anyone.....please be sure to get yourselves tested!

Thank you ?? I’m getting through it. Feeling crappy - but getting there. I have 7 more chemo treatments to go, then surgery in May. The doctor is happy with my response so far.

I just need to share - Got some great news from my oncologist today - I have a complete clinical response to the chemo!!! The tumor is undetectable at this point! I will still finish the course of chemo (5 more to go) have the surgery and do radiation in case of any microscopic cells hanging around somewhere.

This is fantastic for me as far as remission and recurrence is concerned. It’s just so great to know that every bad day, horrible side effect and looking and feeling terrible was worth it. I still have a long road ahead, but the end of it is almost in sight and it’s looking good! I appreciate every thought, every prayer. They are working
