Anybody have hot/cold heros and wraps for Christening or 1st Birthday?
Not for a home party...if you had it out somewhere. I was thinking about doing this for Xavier's 1st Birthday to switch it up a little. I pretty much had the same menu for Rylans 1st and Xavier's Christening so i'm trying to be a little less predictable this time...lol. I have no idea what I would even get though. Any suggestions...food and place? The party will be at the Heritage Center in Mt. Sinai.

I used Assaggio's in Rocky Point. I had heros but they had wraps and a bunch of other stuff. They usually have a coupon in the paper for 10% off catering too.

Yes, we got a variety of wraps and subs. I had in in NJ so we had it done by Wegmans. Actually, they have a catering section that helped us out to pick what to serve. I'm sure if you go to any caterers they'll help you out. What's the most popular, how much of each, etc? We had wheat wraps with turkey and cheese, american subs, italian, etc. Also got a salad. Worked out great and easy

I would do heroes, then you can make a tray of macaroni and cheese. I got a FABULOUS recipe from another poster on here. It was sooo easy to make a delish.
I think you can also do something super easy like sausage and peppers.
Chicken fingers and fries for the kids.
A tray of mini meatballs (and ziti if you wanted to do that)
All things that are really easy for you to make.

Uncle Giuseppe's makes really good focaccia sandwiches, panini's and heros, and they have tons of different side dishes too...and its close to the heritage center.

Uncle G's is the first place that came to mind...my boyfriend family is obsessed with this place. They're shopping there every week...lol. I thought it might be on the expensive side though. Have you ordered from their catering menu before?
BTW...it was nice meeting you today...wish we had more time to talk!!

I kinda wanted the hot heros/wraps to replace the hot food...lol. I'll def take that mac n cheese recipe though...that would def go with heros!!

Nope, not expensive relatively speaking and they do deliver too. Go to the website. Their catering menu is on there. It was between the two places for me. Since I like the food with both and needed pizzas, I chose the other place.
