WWYD...Christening and 1st Birthday.
I'm a little behind planning Xavier's Christening...if I start now it would have to be in Sept or Oct the earliest. His 1st Birthday is in January. Do you think these 2 parties will be to close together? Would you do a combined Christenin/Birthday in January? Or we can have the Christening in the spring after his 1st Birthday...I would rather not wait that long though.
If you were a guest would you mind having to go to 2 large parties for the same child in such a short amount of time?

Also just to add I would do the christening first than birthday.

Yep, I would do two seperate events, and I wouldn't mind if I were invited to both. Two very special occassions!

We are doing combined in August. We just couldn't get our act together for the baptism and then it got so close to her birthday that we just decided to do them together. But, I have OOT family also who wanted to be at both so it was easier to combine them.
I think 3 months apart is fine though.
