Re: anybody here switch from oil to gas heating?
Granted we had an OLD oil burner before we converted to gas 2 years ago, we are saving about about $200 per month.

Re: anybody here switch from oil to gas heating?
For the first year- our gas bills were 50% less than what we were paying for oil. This was our 2nd year, I haven't calculated it, but I am sure it was about the same.

JUST switched 3 weeks ago so I can't talk about the savings. BUT we LOVE it. So glad we finally switched. BTW, Nat'l Grid now has 2 rebates going so there is additional savings aside from the price of oil vs price of gas.

Re: anybody here switch from oil to gas heating?
I'm at the point where I"m going to have to replace my boiler soon. However, I was quoted 13K just to bring the line from the street to my property. When all was said and done, it was going to cost 17-18K. We just couldn't justify the cost.
We were told that there were currently no incentives to switch over as there is currently great demand for gas heat.
