Anybody use/read/know anything about Secrets of the Baby Whisperer by Tracy Hogg?
Did anyone read this sleep book. She claims it's a combo or in between method of Ferber method and DR Sears but you constantly go to your baby until he/she gets the point is time for sleep without soothing/patting/rocking by picking them up and putting them back down over and over again.
Any feedback? Did it work?
Sorry for all the sleep questions but I am getting desperate to find a method that i comfy with and stick with it, cause this whole no cry sleep solution thing so not working..

I read it & found it very helpful, even though I was a CIO failure. It helped a lot with getting my kids on a schedule & to help me recognize the sleepy signs.

i think it sounds good..especially for the moms that don't neccesarily want the let their babies cry..i just think it would be ALOT of going in there because i know as soon as my kids see me they cry even harder.

I read it when I was pregnant and loved it! I used a lot of the techniques and Jordana was a great sleeper at 6 weeks. Now however, her teething sometimes gets in the way of that. I definitely recommend it.

I tried it... didn't work for us, but I think that's just because Alex is so strong willed. I really hope for your sake this is just a passing phase. Most of the time it is...

I agree - it helped initially but I've found other books more helpful as the boys have gotten older

I am reading it now to get DD on a schedule. It is helping somewhat, but sometimes she just wants to sleep after her bottle instead of activity so I let her.But for the most part it has made our day a lot easier.

Well i tried this for her am nap and she fought me for 40 mins, finally fell asleep and slept 20 mins, then woke up screaming exactly how she went to sleep. But at least she didn't fall asleep on me or next to me. I see that as a success!
ERRR..i know it takes awhile for any method to work...
I just need to exhaust all my options before i get to the point of total frustration and exhaustion to let her cry it out.
Beth- I hope this is a phase!!
