Anyone a hair stylist here..if not..look anyway..I need advice!!
Ok...
Does anyone else have this problem??
My hair grows OUT! Meaning, its so full and curly, I can never wear it down unless its straight because it is SO BIG! It doesnt fall down the way I see a lot of other people with curly hair do.
I think I am getting the wrong cut. Last time, I put layers in..NOT A GOOD IDEA. The underneath part was shorter so it made it puff out even more.
I want to go for a cut next week. I am thinking of telling them to thin it out for me. But I heard something about cutting into it to make it less full...does anyone know anything about this????
Does anyone else have this problem and if so, how do you tell them to cut it so its not so big?????????

yeah, layers gives hair more volume. and inverted layers does the same.
if you have them shear the ends, I think it'll still be poofy on top and thin on the bottom.
why not just get an even cut?

I have really curly hair...and my hairdresser thinned it out...she cut with special scissors the inside so I won't look like a lion....then after that she just gives me regular cuts with layers.
Here's a pic so you have an idea of how curly my hair is.

Ouidad uses a style that helps with the puffiness, its called carving and slicing or something like that. Her salon is in the city, but perhaps other places know the technique?
