I'm not a hairstylist but my BF is and she puts toner in my hair all the time to tone it down. It's not bad at all.

I'm not a beautician, I did take cosmo in school tho. Just be careful what you put on make sure it has a yellow base it should say on the box only because anything with a green base ash colors or a red base strawberry blonde can turn your hair green or pink. I'm sure it will be fine

I am a big fan of the toner

It makes everything more blended and not as brassy. I never tried one myself though. But I have my hair dresser put one in after she does my hi lites.

Clairol Toners

Try this website so you can get an idea of what they do.....I would say go for the Born Blonde to be on the safe side... ( this is always my choice to use).....any local beauty supply sells it!!

Also if you are saying it is yellow DO NOT use anything with gold in it. Use beige or neutral base to avoid the yellow brassy look!
