Re: Anyone been on a Princess cruise?

I have, It was quite a few years ago though.

we went with family for a reunion. We had a lot of fun, however it was an older crowd. We didn't mind because we had eachother-cousins and such, but we felt is was older and "stuffier" than some of the other cruises we had been on! However, now that I am older I probably would not feel this way...

Food was amazing!
Service was top notch!

I WOULD go another Princess Cruise

Older like 30's and 40's or like 60's and 70's

We dont feel like being around a ton of kids so thats why I was thinking it may be good. We are 26 if that helps/

Re: Anyone been on a Princess cruise?

I have taken two princess cruises - One on the caribbean princess (08/2005) and one on the new crown princess (11/2006- two days after thanksgiving).

Both had plenty of people in their 20's, 30's, and 40's. The larger ships and certain times of the year have more families and age mixes than other times of the year.

Honestly there is so much to do on the larger ships - with 4 pools - the family pools - (one has a band the other a huge movie screen) - there are 2 adult only pools. There were always a lot of newlywed couples on board and we were never bored.

I took 12 celebrity cruises before this and I would say they have an older crowd - but again depending on the time of the year there were also plenty of people in their 20's and 30's.

We are the same age now- so I think at this point in my life it would be fine, when I went and thought there were "a lot of older people" it was when I was younger. You will find people in their upper 20s/30s /40s and UP... but there will be people your age. It also depends on what kind of cruise you are going on.

From what I have noticed, the longer cruises and the European cruises seem to have an older crowd. We did a celebrity cruise to Europe and it was 12 days and there were older people there, mixed with enough younger people (our age) to not feel weird- there were plenty of honeymoon couples as well...

I think that the Caribbean Cruises tend to be more of a mixed crowd, which is probably what you want! Also, on princess I honestly think that my cousins and I were the youngest people there- there were kids but not many-not like a carnival cruise which tends to have more children

We did one 7/02 & loved it. We can't wait to cruise them again! We found many people in their 20's-70's! For us, it was nice mix of people. The food was incredible & the service was impeccable!!!!

Re: Anyone been on a Princess cruise?

I have been on Princess and Carnival. They were both great, but we all preferred Carnival. More night life and party scene. Princess had a bit of an older crowd, but we still had a GREAT time. You can't go wrong with cruises.

Its western caribbean.. so I think it goes to Jamiaca, cozumel, grand cayman and the private princess island in the bahamas.

Re: Anyone been on a Princess cruise?

We just got off the Diamond Princess last month - absolutely loved it!! There were plenty of younger people, but we also went during the February break. We love Princess and Carnival the best for cruises.

Re: Anyone been on a Princess cruise?

I have been on two princess cruises, (Caribbean princess and the Grand Princess). Both where great ships! The food was good, the service was excellent and princess has the best pools I have seen on any ship I have been on.
There is always a lot of older passengers on any cruise you will go on. Old people love cruises. Though I have never found this a problem. Their is also a lot of younger people in their 20-30s to make it fun. Don't worry!

I have been to the private Princess Island. It is extremely relaxing, and a beautiful island.

Re: Anyone been on a Princess cruise?

We took the Tahitian Princess for our HM.
As far as cruise ships go, it was a smaller ship (650 ppl).

And I've heard as far as cruise lines go, Princess is in the upper range...

The food was good-there was a big buffet, a main dining room, a small pizzaria, a poolside grill and 2 specialty restaurants....The 2 specialty restaurants were good-I recommend it.

It was our first cruise...next one I would like to try is the Freedom of the Seas-that ship is HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!
