Anyone been to Library Cafe in Farmingdale?
Was it for a meal or an event? If it was an event, what did you think? Thanks so much.
any input would be great.

I have been there a few times for a meal. I like it because it was quieter than the post office in babylon.

The first time was for an event - a suprise birthday party. Everything was good - the food, drinks, service.
I've been back three times since for lunches and dinners, we liked it that much. It's not to die for, but it's good for what it is.

i had my rehearsal dinner there!!
we LOVED it!!! its owned by Lessings..the food was great! love the private room upstairs, it has a bar!

Thanks everyone. i saw the room on the website and it looked like it would work for 40. I spoke to the general manager and he was super nice and helpful. I figured the food would be good because of Lessings.

they supply the cake... and it was sooooo yummy!! it was delicious!!

I've been there for drinks, dinner, and a suprise party upstairs. I really liked the atmosphere, and the food is great.
The upstairs room is great b/c it has another bar, but I would physically go there to see it. It's kinda small, and I'm not too sure how many people would fit comfortably.

Thanks., my sister is going there tonight to check it out. It would be for 35-40 people. He said that it fits comfortably 40, anymore than that would be tight. Thanks everyone. Very helpful.

We just had my sister's baby shower there. We had 36 people and it was TIGHT. A little too tight.
They set up 3 long tables for the guests. We had a buffet, and it was hard getting in and out. Me, my sister and my niece actually ate our food standing up because there wasn't any room for us.
The food was really good though. It just would have been better if we had fewer people.

I went there with my dh for lunch while we were getting our taxes done last year. We waited a long time to eat, but the food was great! A bit overpriced, IMO.

We also had our rehearsal dinner there.
Great atmosphere, but we felt the food left a little to be desired.
Strange, because our wedding was at Timberpoint (also owned by Lessings) and we were thrilled with the food there.

Been there 3x. Once I really liked it, but two other times not so much.
The last time we went, the place was empty and there was one bartender and 10 people there. We waited 10 minutes for the bartender to acknowledge us. Then after he asked us what we wanted, we waited another 10 minutes for him while he messed with somebody's credit card..
20 minutes after we walked in, we walked out thirsty.
Shame though, it's a nice place and I've heard really good things.
