Anyone been to Maine?
DH and I are thinking about going for our anniversary this summer. Can anyone reco a place to stay? B&B by the water or nice hotel? A travel agent?

I have been to Bar Harbor and loved it. The town is quaint. Acadia National Park is beautiful with great hiking. There is also a lot of great restaurants.
We stayed at the Mira Monte in the West End room and loved it. The room had a private balacony in the back. It was wonderful. It is in walking distance to the town. There are some great restaurants as well. George's was my favorite.
Enjoy, Maine is beautiful.

We stayed at the Quimby House in Bar Harbor. Nice room, it was huge, and it's in walking distance to the town.
If you're looking for someplace right on the water, the only place I can think of right now is the Bar Harbor Inn...that hotel was really nice.
We had so much fun in Bar Harbor and you will too!

We went to Bar Harbor as well. We stayed at this AWESOME B & B on the water. I forget the name, but I will find out and post it for you. Bar Harbor was beautiful.

I've been to Sunday River - near the border of NH. It's about a 5-6 hour drive from the New London ferry.
