We went last summer to Bar Harbor. We went camping for ONE night (Dh's idea, not mine. I hate camping). Then we stayed in a B & B on the water for 2 nights. The B & B was amazing! We saw harbor purpose jumping in the water from our window!  We went whale watching and saw 16 whales! We also went kayaking, went to a lobster bake, and did a bunch of stuff in the town.
We brought our dog with us, too. She stayed in a kennel up there and went camping with us that one night. We took her out of the kennel a few times to hang on the beach with us and walk around the town. It was a great trip (except for the camping).
